you should be able to click on a destination, and it should hide all other routes from view except for routes to and from that Destination. Kind of like the hub system already in place, except you can narrow down how many routes you have from one location that you can focus on. It would be a BIG help for airlines that operate domestically. So for exampls, let's say you have 5 hub airports that connect Denver to them, but let's say you want to see what other routes you have from/to Denver; so you click it and it shows you the hub routes and other routes oh may have from Denver. I also think that hub routes should be red and connecting routes that link other cities that aren't a hub should be a different color. It will make it a lot more easier to see exactly where you fly.

It's a good idea, but unfortunately we are limited by the Google Maps API :P

Those airline route maps are generally created entirely by graphic designers and cannot be swapped for different routes without doing the graphics manually, so obviously a bit beyond the capabilities of AE at the moment :P

How are the Google Route Maps generated? And how would you make one outside of AE?

For future reference, when posting feature requests, it's often helpful to talk about the problem (or what you want to accomplish) first instead of starting with one specific  implementation, which is unnecessarily restrictive and discourages finding better solutions. This is for all suggestions and not just this one in particular. :P

If I understand correctly, you want the ability to show/hide routes from any airport (not just hubs), right?

@Agre What's being suggested is very possible with Google Maps. It's just that the behavioral details need more thinking through, because there will be different opinions about what should happen and/or be displayed when you click on an airport marker.

@Yuxi, yes. I think it would make it a lot easier for domestic carriers and regional carriers to plan where they want to fly when/if they get new aircraft. I think it could really help out with organization of the airline's routes.
