Actually, I have to agree that the VA colours really do suit the A320.

Also, what about the EIS for the new configs of the Qantaslink 717's and they will be deployed on SYD-CBR (?)

Anyhow, so I think I have previously said that there'll be 5x 717s with business class based in Canberra, well it seems only 4x will be based in Canberra with 1x based in Hobart, which is surprising as Hobart isn't a particularly high yielding destination, dominated by Q400s. Anyhow, they'll appear on the Canberra routes from November 15, 12x weekly to Brisbane, 4x week to MEL and 1x week to SYD with operations ramping up over the following 4 months.
Seems that the HBA aircraft will operate 4x daily MEL-HBA rotations.

QF has just signed a deal with the Western Australian government to advertise WA interstate and overseas
Strengthening its ties with Western Australia, Qantas has signed a $7.65 million agreement with the WA government to market and promote the state internationally and domestically.
Targeting the United Kingdom, United States, Singapore and Australia, the three-year deal represents one of the biggest partnerships between and airline and WA tourism authorities.
Western Australia tourism minister Liza Harvey said the agreement would see Qantas matching state government’s contributions to the campaign dollar-for-dollar

So, June 2013 Australian stats are out. I'll just post QF, VA and NZ stats, but just ask if you're curious about any other airlines. I also have a few stats for specific routes, again feel free to ask, though I may not be able to provide a satisfactory answer. Oh yeah, international routes only.
Qantas Load-Factors
Chile - 76.15%
China* - 73.3%
Hong Kong (SAR)** - 77.1%

N.B. The UAE stats for Qantas seem to have disappeared for this month.
Virgin Australia Load-Factors
Fiji - 77.4%
Indonesia† - 79.85%
New Zealand - 71.15%
Papua New Guinea - 57.95%
Solomon Islands - 53.7%

Total - 70.5% (inbound) and 79.0% (outbound)

Load-factors with dagger(s) are therefore not completely accurate due to differences in outbound and inbound flights.
Virgin Samoa Load-Factors
Western Samoa - 51.55%
Air New Zealand Load-Factors
Cook Islands‡ - 74.05%
New Zealand‡‡ - 80.3%
‡ 1 Additional Outbound Flight

Load-factors with double dagger(s) are therefore not completely accurate due to differences in outbound and inbound flights.
So yeah I might do this every month if I'm bothered.

Cool, VH-OJC (a non -ER 744) operated QF7/8 today. QF7 went via LAX while QF8 is due to make a stopover in AKL.

Thought I'd just provide a bit of a fleet update on the QF Group seeing as wiki seems a bit out of whack.

In other news, JQ has started it's 4x weekly Lombok services with "more than 150 passengers"

So CX is planning from next year to run HKG-ADL/CNS 4x weekly and shift HKG-BNE/MEL services to non-stop status. However the BNE-HKG service will no be retimed to leave at 01:00 which sucks for them
Also QF is bringing back the Aboriginal paint scheme on one of their new 738s.

I thought it cancelled, or nearly cancelled, that?

1am seems decent, as it means 'arrive in airport around 10-11pm'
What routing does HKG CNS ADL take exactly?

ADL is daily via MEL at the moment I believe and CNS is I think HKG-CNS-BNE or BNE-CNS-HKG depending on the day.
01:00 departure has been changed from 10:55 departure so which one do you think people would prefer?

Arrival time is also important.
I was more asking what route HKG/CNS/ADL would take. (HKG-CNS-ADL-CNS or HKG-(ADL/CNS)-(ADL/CNS)-HKG)
The former is more convenient for paxes but the latter probably more efficient.

Ahhh, I think I caused some confusion there.
Both CNS and ADL will be served directly from HKG

Not to nit-pick but the term is non-stop. Direct just means that it doesn't require a change of plane.
Tigerair are set to commence Sydney to Perth services, flying up to 6 times a week each way.
Virgin Australia will commence twice weekly flights to Cloncurry ex Brisbane from November 27 use E190s.
Air New Zealand in an attempt to stimulate the Sydney to Rotorua market will improve schedules, however they will discontinue flights through the winter season between May and August.

An AN-124 landed this morning in Sydney to unload it's cargo of 2 firefighting helicopters leased from the Ukraine. They usually arrive towards the end of Spring but they've been brought here earlier than normal ahead of an unusually dangerous fire season installed for this spring/summer.
