Just to get this thread going again (though this is probably old news by now), Mount Cook Airline's (Air NZ Link) second ATR 72-600, now ZK-MVB, will be delivered sometime this fortnight and is the first NZ aircraft to ditch the teal and make the move to black. And I must say....well, I guess that black looks pretty sharp and the teal would probably look just as bland.....but what a wasted opportunity! I mean, if you want to change something as important as an airline's base color in the name of national pride, at least go the whole way and paint it like the All Black planes....I mean, how much would it cost even to just put a black and gray silver fern on the back?
Then again, I guess airlines don't care for liveries as much as they might've used to..... from an airline enthusiast's point of view anyway....
