Thomson Airways has committed to yet more Boeing orders. The airline, famous for flying the the UK's favourite holiday destinations, is increasing its 'Boeing-only' fleet with more orders. Thomson executives have been pondering whether to introduce a new Boeing series of aircraft into the fleet. Currently Thomson flies: 737-300, 737-800, 757-200, 767-300ER, 787-8, and now have ordered two 777LR aircraft. The two new planes will fly to our furthest destinations yet. Both being based at London Gatwick, each plane will come in a 2-class (Premium/Economy) cabin. They will have 64 Premium Economy seats, at the front of the cabin, in a 2-4-2 layout, and 304 Economy seats in a 3-4-3 layout. Like our other long haul planes, each seat will receive our on demand entertainment system, power stations and the service you would expect from us!

The two new 77L will increase our fleet to 84 Boeing's, and will be our flagship aircraft. They are due to enter the fleet for the Winter 2013/2014 season. Two new destinations will be announced soon.
