How does an airline order a 747-300!!!
As an experiment I have 2 airlines.
First one I sold the MD-82 and purchased 4 ATR-42's, and with profits I have just ordered my 4th Do228. In all these have a DOP of $287k. Since then I started another airline with 737-500 and just left it alone, that makes a DOP of $214k. So I get a little less profit with a larger aircraft but have have more fun with the smaller aircraft.

I think this world (S2) is a good place to observe different strategy of different players. Some ppl may sell their aircraft and change to smaller plane with lower maintenance cost. However, I don't agree with this strategy because the HR cost is still the same but you are making less profit!

You may have a look of the 1st one in ranking and you will know the trick for getting rich. But I do not agree with that unreasonable trick....

I am fully agree what u said .... the SUD SUD SUD is growing up too fast and already operated large fleet of MD-83, 757, 767 and 747s

but I notice Air Smile also doing the similar thing in his hub, offer 1-3x flights a week and at least double the ticket price

SUD SUD SUD is a monster. I got the strategy already but it's too late to apply for fast expansion. Now stranded at 18th. Apparently this world is not as hard as it's thought. Bonds are very important in the beginning. Just make sure you can pay on the due dates. The rest is quite normal.

It's basically punching in a cheat code when you do it, but it's legal. I wanted to see how much it actually helped, and am ranked #2 in O2 because of it. The only thing that can stop you on a route is if another airline comes in, because then you get a load factor around 5% or less.

Anyway, using bonds can help you, as I noticed that am the one who get the second jet on fleet, no am not ordering a new plane at start, acquiring a used one is a wise choice at first..

playing this game for months will give you insight how to run an airline smoothly, that's what i learnt from Macau (1 hub), Maldives (1), Bahamas (1), Switzerland (3), Chile (1), and now at S2 i choose China and US to learn how to run an airline with a lot of hub options.
