In O2, now that the 757 and 767 are coming into production, I will be trimming down from the almost 2000 a/c as 1 767 can replace 2 on routes.
I am constantly in R5 trying to find the best mix of IFE and seating set ups for routes.

I have routes that I fly a 78% load factor because it is a hassle to go thru 2500 routes. And I cannot use the match price button because a lot of routes I am flying at 100% load but 50 bucks or more higher price.

For what my company does, HVAC, there is little day to day input from me. The first 5 years I was in the field all the time, now I go into the field during our peak season when we are swamped with calls. Or if I am bidding a big project and such.

I got 226 (leased) planes in total and it's still growing!!!How can you be that successful!?
I'm rubbish at this, my best airline only hit $7,000,000,000, with 70-100 A/C

115 or so. PITA to manage; never again.
Forget I said that.
When I took over my current airline, there were about 350 planes flying for it.
Trimmed the number down to ~200, turned the whole airline around.
Then other airlines came in (damn them) and now I'm down to ~150 planes.
Not as bad to manage as I thought, but still...

Why trim it down? Keep adding gradually to the fleet and keep gradually adding routes and you can't go too far wrongForget I said that.

If there's no empty routes to fill, I don't expand. If someone jumps my routes and cuts prices too dramatically, I leave.
I'm not playing that game, no way, no how.
