IFE Question

In R5, the in seat TV's are available, if you check that box, I gather that every seat will have them and the over head/aisle screens would then be redundant and not needed?
I do not want to spend money for nothing. Or do people also have all of the IFE checked?

Trying to get a better feel for this part of the game.

Personal TVs>Overheads. Both are redundant.
I use Overheads on Regional planes and Personal Tvs on all else. 4 star too

Yes a 5* IFS is expensive, mine costs $1151 per flight and -$361 per pax so I use it only for F class on medium to long range flights.
I guess im doing it wrong Mine cost 4k Perflight and -300 per pax
My Regional config is 1.5k per flight and -300 per pax

I have all the options selected on 5* (8 screens per 100 seats). For all (F, C & Y) classes.
In case you're wondering? For my 104 seat A319s - I'm spending $36,500 on IFS on each flight

Hi!
I can't find the "tips" you mention....
Does IFE/IFS have influence on load factor?

I just tried searching for it and it looks like it's a protected forum
Perhaps some SkyGroup members could shed some light?

this is some poo poo mah'haan !!!
it seems like no matter what i try, there
is no good combination to use in the
CRJ-200 airplanes..... what gives ? ?
i mean, i figured out how to make millions
with IFS'S used on A320 air planes...
but geeze-oh-petes. . . . . this CRJ-200
has been nothing but the polar opposite....

I have IFE/IFS for my CRJ's but they still make money, I only use them for low demand routes where daily A320 service is too much
5 stars for C/Y IFE
5 stars for C 1000mi+ IFS
4 stars for Y 1000mi+ and C1000mi- IFS
3 stars for Y 1000mi- IFS
I have IFE in all of my planes and IFS in all of my routes

One question
What does and IFS costs 1000 per flight and -300 per pax (max) means exactly?
If I have 3 different IFS types for F, C and Y I'm paying those 1000 only for the 4 passengers (or so) seating in first class (plus the 300 max each) plus 1000 or so for those in C and 1000 or so for the Y as fixed catering costs?
If I use the same IFS type for F and C do I pay those 1000 only once or "per class" (i.e. two)?
thanks

Good question to ask the developers Viking Air. The IFE/IFS cost calculations in game seem to have modifiers. One question

The thought had also occurred to me.
However I'm more concerned about IFE, where most of the time the IFE will be the same throughout the cabin (Or maybe the screen might be a little larger, but the software the same)
Paying a minimum $5000 for 5* IFE a flight is a bit excessive for my 8 C pax on a CS100.
