Hello all,

I just wanted to ask your opinions on the topic. Which planes do you use? Why do you use them? but here is a list of the basic pro's that I came up with.

767:
Slightly longer range
Slightly shorter turn around time
Slightly cheaper
Starts production earlier
More fuel efficient (although a 100 less seats then A330)

A330:
More seating capacity (about a 100 seats)
Shorter runway requirements
Slightly faster
Better fuel flow per pax

Anyways, what do you guys think? Please vote and leave your opinions :P

I always use the A330, I just think it's an overall better plane and tends to make a higher daily profit while costing less overall. And you can also operate the A340 without paying the extra maintainence costs.

Not with the massive error, the A340-300 has a lower fuel flow than the A330-300 :P

A330. because its the only LH plane other than the 787 that can fly out of LTN and shorter airports.

I usually use the A330 because i tendo to just use aeound 85% of the seats, so the 767 has few seats :P

I really wish people wouldn't ask questions like this. The aircraft type you choose is always based upon the particular context of your airline and the requirements needed as a result. There's no point saying the A330s the better aircraft when one hasn't considered the particular mission it would be used for, the rest if the airlines fleet, etc.

B762 and B762ER can also fly out of LTN.

I vote for the 767! ^_^ Now i'm different but I always like Boeing and I find its creates better profit for me! :/ However I also use A330's in my fleet alot and their extra sitting sometimes makes it more attractive to buy! :P

True, but to me both of them would work so when I can't decide I just ask and then use whatever gets chosen :P

Clearly if both aircraft are ideal for you then you're not running your airline properly...

actually no, I would normally say A330 but the only plane between L1011 goes out of service and A330 goes into service B767 is the best alternative. And the way it is to me is its either B767 in 2 class config or A330 in 3 class config.

Replaced my Kingfisher 767 with A330's. Higher revenues even after removing more seats for passenger comfort :P . And can fly to almost all cities with given range. Lease also cheap compared to performance. And i must say 767-400ER is a disaster! :( Runway req almsot 10,000 feet! I din know!. Saw only after ordering many! Can fly to only major airports then!
