I hope that makes sense... Let me know what you think.

it would make every airline put their best to be the best airline of the year (each year)...
wish Yuxi will consider this...
No, you're not home. You're flying with us.

Does anyone have objections to making DOP or monthly/annual profit public?

I object!Does anyone have objections to making DOP or monthly/annual profit public?
Actually, no I don't.
However, I would prefer it be the total previous year's DOP added up, as this is more similar to what real companies would release.

Since no airline is a publicly-traded company (even virtually), there is no requirement to release financial information.
I object to releasing such information, and I do my own legwork to determine the DOC of my competitors. I couldn't care less about an airline ranked 50 spots below me.

In older versions (AE2 maybe?) you could see this, and further than that, it was broken down regionally (i.e. North America DOP). I used this to great effect to monitor price wars. For example, when I was the largest operator on ATL-CUN, a small airline (with about a dozen planes, against my 1200+) tried to enter the route. While it hit my profits $500k per day to keep up the price war, it was costing the other airline $100k. Since I had access to the DOP figures, I could see this was hitting his bottom line better than 10%, while it only hit my less than 1%.
The point is, without certain knowledge that I could sustain the price war for much longer than the other airline (and was certain to emerge victorious...relatively), I probably would have scaled back the route to modest profit rather than dedicating 3-4 aircraft to a route at a substantial loss.
Edit: That said, I would like to see just a numeric ranking that doesn't disclose the actual profit (i.e. 1st place, 2nd place...etc.).

The rating would be rated by Route Reputation, Route Network Size, Alliance Network Bonus, Employee Morale, Age of Airline, Average Fleet Age, Financial Health.
So it would be like
Airline name - Alliance - Rating - Destinations.....-Valuation.
Emirates - N/A - 9.7 - DXB... <100bn
Not asking or forcing anything just suggesting.

It would benefit airlines joining later in the game because by then the older airlines have a large reserve.
Alternatively, showing how the valuation has changed? or last years valuation?
it would show which airlines are growing fastest rather than who have been playing longer.

a little suggestion: i like how there is the reputation bar but i think it would be rather nicer if there was like a airline rating, not like stars more like from 5 to 10 (5 being worst) lets say a quality airline like Emirates could have a rating of 9.8 with 10.0 being nearly impossible.

How is that different from the current reputation system? Or do you just want numbers instead of a bar

something like:
Route Reputation: 7.2
Route Network Size: 7.5
Alliance Network Bonus: 8.3
Employee Morale: 6.9
Age of Airline: 8.0
Average Fleet Age: 8.7
Financial Health: 9.3
Airline Rating: 7.9
