Welcome to Velocity Group,

Formed as a merge between Island Metro and Manchester Underground Network, Velocity aims to provide passengers with a service beyond no other.

Hello all,

Today at Velocity XC we are pleased to annouce our planned trainsets. We have decided to go with Bombardier Transportation's Voyager family. The Class 222 DEMU is a fast, reliable and comfortable train. We will be operating the 5 car varity, with all classes onboard.This DEMU (DEMU stands for Diesel-electric multiple unit) can run at speeds of up to 125mph and is fitted with some of latest saftey and technology advanments.

And their are two names for the Class 222, which are Class 222/0 = Pioneer and 222/1 = Meridian, i think thats the order :P

Well, the Voyager series are all so funny....too many names :P . Ill come up with a /3 then....ill brand it the "Airwave" :P

What platform height are you using? That looks like 48".


Standard UK sizes. We are not building our own route for XC, we are using current routes on the UK network. Thats 915mm.
