How about layered templates? I'm sure many people here uses an image program that can handle layers, and those who do probably can agree with me that it's much easier to paint on layered templates. So suggestion: Maybe we should, apart from a *.bmp or *.gif or *.png or *.tga or *.whatever template for each aircraft, also have an *.psd file or equivalent?

Do you mean something like this?
obviously this is a pretty crude basic idea, but it should be easy to make something similar but neater, and can add smaller details.

Aye, make the templates bitmap format, and if the user wants to save it in jpeg for the color blending, then they can

Please no .jpgs, some of us poor people have only MS Paint!!!
Some of us have a livery, which in my case was made with jeatabout templates. I e-mailed him about new templates, he said to expect a new update soon!
Mine is on www.airlinercafe.com , under vc-10 in the member gallery!

Here are some good freighter templates:
http://www.freighter...om/Gallery.aspx
Here is a compendium of sometimes excellent, sometimes mediocre templates for just about every aircraft except newer releases:
http://www.fortuneci...na/manatee/272/
These are usually better:

Hope this helps.
