Well, I'm not quite a beginner here. I do have a question though: when certain aircraft aren't being operated by an airline, they tend to appear periodically on the market, where they stay for a couple of months and then they're taken off. Is there any sort of order as to when these aircraft appear on the market again, or is it completely random, or are they simply scrapped if no one buys them?
Question on the aircraft market...

As bolli said the planes will be deleted from the game after a certain time period at the used market. Just like in the real world planes that have been deleted from the game wont appear again at the market.
After all if you send for example an 747 to be broken up into pieces, you cant get it back to service when it aleready have been made to scrap metal.

For an aircraft to be for sale, someone has to sell it. So if demand for some aircraft type is high, you probably won't find them sitting around for long on the market (or people selling them in the first place).
The AE aircraft market system is such that you can always sell an aircraft to an intermediate broker and the ownership changes to "the market", and the price depends on the aircraft value itself and the number of aircraft already on the market. In real life you can't sell an aircraft if you can't find anyone to buy it, so scrapping is more commonly done IRL than in AE.
