R169-70

R169-70

In response to a request from Australian carrier ACA for a 70 seat version of the R196, Robin Industries created the R169-70. The R169-70 differs only from its sister in its reduction in length by 2 frames ahead of and behind the wings. While the type was developed for ACA, other carriers would go on to order it, although it wouldn't be as successful as the R169-100. The -70 caused a bit of confusion for the -100, as it's name came from its 70 seat capacity. This, however, was not the case for the -100, having just 90 seats. I don't have much to say on this, but I thought I'd bring it up...
