Azure Air - Airbus A321neo

Azure Air - Airbus A321neo

Azure Air Morocco (أزور الخطوط الجوية المغربية) (MC/AMA) is the Moroccan subsidiary of Egyptian low-cost carrier group Azure Air. The airline has hubs at Casablanca, Marrakesh and Tangier and operates an extensive domestic and international network throughout North Africa, the Western Sahara and Europe with a fleet of 19 Airbus A320ceo, A320neo and A321neos.

Established in early 2004 with a single 737, Azure Air (branded as azure) is a Egyptian low-cost carrier based at Cairo International Airport. Azure Air has a similarly-structured all-A320 series fleet of 59 with hubs in Cairo, Hurghada, Sharm-el-Sheikh and Alexandria. The airline founded its first subsidiary outside of Egypt in 2011 with Azure Air Dubai and continued to set up similar connectors all over the Arab world in Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Morocco and, most recently, Lebanon, with a combined fleet of over 100. The group has plans to set up a Pakistani carrier, although these plans were delayed due to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is also an update to my entry to the 2021 Arabic Design Contest.

A transliteration of "azure" (أزور) in Arabic ('azur). - Also means "I visit".
