GCA 737 700 Space Shuttle Special

Back in 2006, the shuttle program was pretty forgotten about in the general public. Its image had been stained again by Columbia just three years prior and NASA wanted to re-invigorate the public's excitement. The solution was to collaborate with a growing airline with hubs in major space cities. Gulf seemed to be the best option with a hub in Houston and a growing presence in Orlando. The resulting aircraft was painted to resemble space shuttle Atlantis, and flew from 2006 until the retirement of the shuttle orbiters in 2011 where the aircraft was repainted one month after Atlantis' final flight.
