1990s | Colombiana | McDonnell Douglas MD-11

In the 1990s and early 2000s, Colombiana operated the MD-11 for long-haul flights to Europe and the Southern Cone of South America. Unfortunately, the type proved to lack range and efficiency compared to other widebody aircraft and was soon replaced by the Airbus A330 series of jets on Colombiana's long-haul routes.
