A350 900 ULR

A350 900 ULR

In February 2022, the French charter company l'Héxagonale, located at Nice Côte d'Azur airport, announced that it had placed an order for two Airbus A350-900 ULRs in order to meet the demand for very long-haul flights by providing crews and aircraft capable of connecting almost any airport in the world without a stopover. These flights will be carried out in partnership with several companies.

After presenting this project of very long distance flights during a conference at the Negresco Hotel in September 2021, many companies were seduced by this commitment and began direct discussions with the French company a few days later. Air France, Lufthansa, British Airways and Swiss air have shown great interest.

As always, Air France will be the assistant airline. It will be in charge of crew training and aircraft maintenance. The pilots will follow a complete training in the Air France premises with many hours of simulators accompanied by Air France trainers. The cabin crew will be sent for a period of 4 weeks to the "Institut des arts de la table" in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris to be trained on the rudiments of high quality service. Their training will continue within Air France to be qualified on Airbus A350. The French national airline, for its part, has hinted that a route between Paris (CDG) and Papeete (Tahiti) will soon be available.

The service on board will be extremely privatized with a total of 18 cabin crew available. The meals that will be offered on board will be elaborated by different chefs from all over the world willing to participate in this adventure. Well-balanced dishes promoting well-being will be served, without putting the gustatory pleasure aside.

The 2 airbuses will be equipped with a high-end cabin, offering 89 seats BUSINESS PLUS arranged in 1-2-1. Everything has been studied to maximize the comfort and well-being of the passengers in order to guarantee superior quality flights. The lighting system will benefit from the latest technologies to make the cabin soft and relaxing, while making jet lag more bearable. The in-flight entertainment system will be one of the most comprehensive ever offered on a commercial aircraft. More than 2400 hours of movies and series will be available in 9 languages (French, German, English, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Russian). Many games will be present on the interface and thousands of music will also be proposed.
The first model (F-SDPA) should be delivered in October 2022 for an entry into service in December. The F-SDPB should follow a few months later for an entry into service in early 2023.

For the moment l'hexagonale does not plan to operate regular long haul flights from Beauvais airport . On the other hand , the plane can be rented by private individual to make a private flights from any airport , so it is possible to connect Paris Beauvais to Adelaide.
