Package Haulers - Boeing 767-300F

Package Haulers - Boeing 767-300F

In December 2015, the e-commerce company Amazon announced that it would start an air cargo subsidiary. Instead of operating their planes, the company would have other companies operate planes under their livery. So, on May 5th, 2016, Raines Air and Amazon inked an agreement to operate Boeing 767-300s under an ACMI lease agreement.

Shortly before the deal was made public, Raines made a deal with Cargo Aircraft Management to lease 20 Boeing 767-300 converted freighters and leaseback 10 767s. 20 of these planes would operate exclusively for Amazon, while 10 would be integrated into Raines' independent operations.

N1321A was the first 767 delivered to Raines and would operate for Amazon. It previously served with KLM, Zoom Airlines, and Nordwind before being converted in February 2017 and delivered in June of that year. It is currently based at Amazon Air's main base in Cincinnati.

N763RI was the first 767 that operated exclusively for Raines. It flew for Canadian International, VARIG, and Euroatlantic before the aircraft was given to the airline in February 2017. It is based in Miami like the rest of the 767 fleet.

Besides operations for Amazon, the 767 was crucial for Raines as it unlocked smaller markets that the 777 and 747 couldn't serve. Raines' presence in Cincinnati would grow after the aircraft's inclusion in the fleet and the airport would become a focus city for the company.

Man your work it's just fantastic . RAINES AIR is becoming one of my favorite companies.
