Qazaq Airlines Airbus A350-1000ULR
IATA - KZ
ICAO - KZA
Callsign - QAZAQ
Qazaq Airlines' orders for the Airbus A350 included two Airbus A350-1000 variants, with the type proposed to operate on the airline's premium routes for their most important long-haul services, New York JFK and Sydney. The type is set to enter service in mid-October 2022, operating with a larger business and premium economy cabin and a smaller economy cabin compared to the airline's A350-900 aircraft.
The inaugural flight for the A350-1000 will be operated on October 24th from Almaty to New York JFK, which would until that point have been operated by the A350-900 variant. The introduction of the two A350-1000s would bring Qazaq Airlines' total widebody A350 fleet to 6 aircraft. While new widebodies are entering service, they are doing so to replace all current Boeing widebodies and take over all current operational long-haul routes with no expansion from its network expected at this time. However, expansion into new markets is under review with the potential to happen by 2024, with further A350s being discussed alongside the Airbus A330Neo to launch these new routes. However, at this time, nothing has been confirmed.
