In a shocking upset, obscure Sudanese flag carrier Sudania won the title of Best Arabic Design 2021. To celebrate the airline placed a commemorative sticker at the front of one of its 737s. The following year, Sudania was asked to design a special 2022 livery for the next edition of the competition. The airline could only afford another decal on the back of one its 757s.

The AE Arabic Design Contest is back on 14 May 2022 for its 5th Edition.
