- Album Anatolia Airways
As the popularity of the newly founded airline grew regionally in Turkey, the airline looked westward to Bucharest and Tirana to link the tumultuous and unstable Turkey with Eastern Europe. This expansion came in the form of the leasing of six brand-new Boeing 737 Classics, including four -300s and a pair of -500s. Şimşek Holdings turned its attention into investing into the rapidly growing airline and began investing in the airline's onboard product, and free alcoholic beverages would come to Business Class passengers the same year - a move that was controversial in majority-Muslim Turkey.
