Air Turkey Airbus A220-300

Air Turkey has shown interest in the A220 for a while, so long in fact it was still called the C-Series when they first hinted at ordering the type in 2012. On 27 July 2017 Air Turkey finally ordered the A220-300, ordering 35 planes, with options for another 20. On 28 August 2019, the first one arrived in Istanbul. The plane was first put on the Istanbul-Izmir flight, operating TY0101, and then TY0102 on the way back to Istanbul on 7 September 2019. The planes are fitted with an all economy layout, and are replacing the 737-700 and A319-100. The A220 will fly exclusively domestic routes. As of March 10 2022, Air Turkey has 11 A220 aircraft, with the 12th aircraft arriving on the 14 March.

Air Turkey is a big fan of this plane, praising its' size and efficiency and comfort. Air Turkey has been hinting at enabling the additional 20 options, and perhaps ordering the smaller A220-100 at the same time.
