Hokkaido Airlines MD-90 (1995-2013 Livery)

Hokkaido Airlines MD-90 (1995-2013 Livery)

Still in Japan for todays aircraft.

Hokkaido Airlines (alongside the American Airline, Delta) was the launch customer of the MD-90, a single-isle, regional jet, perfect for Hokkaido Airlines operations out of Sapporo. The aircraft was fitted with 170 seats in a single class and operated with the Japanese regional carrier until 2016! Along with these new aircraft came a new livery (Though the livery came about 3 months before the MD-90, so the livery came first)! This new livery was just a spruce up from the last livery, and saw the first use of the exclamation point as a logo, as before then, 3 big yellow letters that spelled out HKA were on the tail where the logo was. It also saw the first time the company was stylized as Hokkaido! instead of the usual Hokkaido Airlines. These aircraft would be the workhorses and backbone of Hokkaido Airline's fleet for the next 20 years alongside the 737 series, and were retired in 2016 on their 20th anniversary. This aircraft is also the same aircraft that was involved in Hokkaido Airlines only fatal accident in 1999...

Thanks to Med for the template (Rams won lets goooooo)
