Hokkaido Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8 (2013-present Livery)

Todays livery is a different one from the usual green and white of Macau

Today we travel to the island nation of Japan! Specifically it's northernmost island, Hokkaido

This is Hokkaido Airlines! (Stylized as Hokkaido! Or Hokkaido Air)

This here is 737 MAX 8 HA73MA, the first one sent to Hokkaido Airlines, delivered in late 2021. Currently, Hokkaido Airlines has four of these, though the entire order called for thirty of them! Due to the 737 MAX Controversy and the pandemic, Hokkaido Airlines didn't get their first MAX until November 2021, with the other four coming in the months after. These MAX's are different from their -800 and -900ER brothers of the same airline, due to their 3 class configuration (Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class), instead of the usual 2 class config on their other aircraft (Economy and Premium Economy). These Aircraft don't run any super special routes, only the usual Sapporo-Tokyo or Sapporo-Seoul routes, though the 737 MAX was the aircraft to complete the first Hokkaido Airlines flight between Sapporo and Jeju, South Korea in January 2022!
