Air New Zealand Boeing 747-200

These things replaced the DC-10-30s, with the first example arriving into the land of the long white cloud on 29 May 1981. They have flown all around the world. From Sydney to Hong Kong. Los Angeles to London. You name it! The retirement of the 747-200 occurred during the late 1990s and concluded in the early 2000s. The livery depicted above wasn't the only one the 742s wore. Did you know that they also wore the Pacific Wave livery?

Slang of the day: Yeah nah | Meaning: another way of saying nah ...or is it another way of saying yeah? The long debate of what "yeah nah" truly means continues, and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. Does it mean yeah, or nah? Yeah, or nah? It is often used as another way of saying nah, but there's a yeah in there too... Yeah, or nah? Despite the fact that it is an iconic Kiwi (and i guess Aussie too), no one truly knows what "yeah nah" truly means. What does it mean? You tell me!

    Yeah Nah
