imma prob start doing music recs on these posts now
lets start off with one of my personal favs: donuts by j dilla
one of the greatest hip hop producers of all time and this is pret much considered his best work
this was literally made on his deathbed in the hospital as he faced both lupus and a super rare blood disease
both of which leading to his passing three days after the release of this album
you could feel he put his heart and soul into this last work of his, manipulating his samples into entirely new melodies and rhythms
give it a listen, at least it's good to put in the background while doing your work
