airVeruda 737 200 | I-DRZV

In March 1990, the new owner of Air Ski Veruda just finished a major rebrand. The airline was now the spirit of Italy, sporting stripes in the Italian flag colors. He also dropped the name Air Ski Veruda for airVeruda. He kept the logo a laurel wreath, but colored it red.

The 737 seen above, I-DRZV, is a 19 year old 737-200. It's flown for two different airlines before airVeruda but still works almost perfectly. It would continue to operate until 2003 when it's retired from service after 32 long years.

The airline would remain based in Milan Malpensa Airport, but instead the 737-200, the airline's only aircraft after the retirement of I-DZCT in Feb 1990, would fly routes to Rome, Paris, and Vienna from Milan. Operating a one aircraft fleet in this uneventful chapter of airVeruda's history would continue until 1995 when an ATR 72 is ordered by airVeruda.
