Air New Zealand Boeing 787-9

This is one of the Air New Zealand Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Air New Zealand was the launch customer of the 787-9 back in 2014, with the first one delivered being ZK-NZE, the All Black 787. I will talk about the beginning of life for the Dreamliners with Air New Zealand when I post that one.

Air New Zealand has had trouble with their Dreamliners, however. Due to the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engine troubles, Air New Zealand had to ground most of their 787 fleet, leasing aircraft such as a Singapore Airlines 777, EVA Air 777, and even a HiFly A340-300. Luckily, the engine issues are fixed now (I think...). Air New Zealand when ordering their new 787-10s picked the General Electric engines instead, due to these issues
