Air Chathams ATR 72-500

Air Chathams, the airline of the Chatham Islands.

You probably have never even heard of the Chatham Islands, so let me explain what it is. It's a small island archipelago ~800km away from New Zealand. They are apart of New Zealand, and as you might have guessed, there's an airport on the largest island, albeit a small one.

Since they are 800km away, the fastest, and best way to get to them is by air, so let me introduce you to Air Chathams. Air Chathams are famous in New Zealand for not only being the largest privately owned airline in the country, but also operated a variety of aircraft that includes the ATR 72 pictured above, and even a DC-3 in NAC colours used on sightseeing and chartered flights.
This ATR 72-500, ZK-MCO, used to be an Air New Zealand aircraft, but Air New Zealand were retiring the -500s (last one retiring in 2020), having been replaced by the more advanced ATR 72-600, so Air Chathams scored a cheap ATR in early 2019. This plane is based out of Auckland, and they continue to operate this ATR 72 today for charter flights.

ZK-MCO: 1999 Aerospatiale ATR 72-212A-500 | Air Chathams | Currently: Active as a charter aircraft with Air Chathams

Told ya I'd upload a different airline!
