L’A380-800 GTMR ( Global , Tactical , Multi , Rôle ) rentra en service au sein de l’armée de l’air française en Avril 2010.
Suite à l’appelle d’offre lancer par le ministre des armées en Novembre 2008 , voulant se doté d’un appareil lourd pour effectuer des missions diverses en masse comme le parachutages de personnels ou de matériel ; des évacuations sanitaire ; assurer la connexion entre les différentes bases aérienne en matériel ; et assurer l’acheminement de matériel pour les troupes en zone de conflit.
Airbus se lance alors dans un pari fou , celui de convertir le plus gros avion de ligne jamais construit , l’A380.
Le géant européen réalisa une maquette qui conquit directement les hautes autorités militaire. Une commande d’un seul appareil fut signer , avec une options poser sur deux autres. La fabrication du premier appareil fuit lancer le 02 mars 2009.
Il fallu 18 mois pour que le premier avions réalise sont premier vol d’essai depuis l’aéroport de Toulouse Blagnac. Après de nombreuse modification et de nombreux test , le premier avion fut livrée sur la base aérienne 123 Orléans- Bricy le 07 Avril 2010.
En 2021 trois appareils sont actuellement en service , 2 sur la base 123 Orléans-Bricy , 1 sur la base 125 Istres-Le Tubé.

The A380-800 GTMR (Global, Tactical, Multi, Rôle) entered service with the French Air Force in April 2010.
Following the call for tenders launched by the Minister of the Armed Forces in November 2008, wanting to acquire a heavy device to carry out various missions en masse such as the parachuting of personnel or equipment; medical evacuations; ensure the connection between the various air bases in material; and ensure the delivery of equipment for troops in conflict zones.
Airbus then embarked on a crazy gamble, that of converting the largest airliner ever built, the A380.
The European giant produced a model which directly conquered the high military authorities. An order for a single device was signed, with an option to place on two others. The manufacture of the first leaked device to launch on March 02, 2009.
It took 18 months for the first plane to make its first test flight from Toulouse Blagnac airport. After a lot of modifications and tests, the first aircraft was delivered to the 123 Orléans-Bricy air base on April 07, 2010.
In 2021 three aircraft are currently in service, 2 at the 123 Orléans-Bricy base, 1 at the 125 Istres-Le Tubé base.

You should send this to Airbus, they might be able to make a use out of some of those retiring passenger A380s...
