Airbus A380-800 Jumeirah Airways

Aircraft: Airbus A380-800
Airline: Jumeirah Airways
Registration: A6-JMP
Delivery Date: August 7th, 2009

The Airbus A380 has fascinated crowds all over the world since its entry into service in 2005, being the largest commercial airliner to ever fly, and more notably, become one of the most iconic to fly in our skies. In modern day, 118 of these super-heavy jets live in Dubai, flying for the world renown Jumeirah Airways, which announced its first order of just 5 aircraft back in 2000, firming it a year later. The airline would drastically increase the order totals in the following years, with an additional order of 15 in 2001, 21 in 2003, 2 in 2006, 15 in 2007, 32 in 2010, and a final 28 in 2013.

Pictured above is A6-JMP, an A380 delivered to the airline in 2014 which currently services Dubai - Boston. This A380 is among only 19 A380s currently flying for the airline, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which saw the entire A380 fleet grounded per government order. Slowly, the airline is returning aircraft back into service as the world re-emerges from the pandemic. Even despite the down-time, the airline was still receiving brand new A380s. Jumeirah Airways is set to receive its final A380 in May of 2022.
