Adarna - South East Asian Airlines Boeing 777-3B9(ER) Beijing 2008 Olympics

Adarna - South East Asian Airlines Boeing 777-3B9(ER) Beijing 2008 Olympics

In support of the upcoming 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the Philippine Olympic Team, the airline had this brand new Boeing 777-300ER delivered in a special livery commemorating the event. The livery features the colors of the Olympic logo, as well as the five mascots of that year's games.

The Boeing 777-300ER was ordered by the airline to complement and slowly replace the Boeing 747-400 as the airline's flagship long-haul aircraft. Orders were made in 2005 and the first few examples were delivered in the first quarter of 2007, and deliveries continued over a 5 year period, with options for more available. The plane featured a state-of-the-art cabin, featuring new First and Business Class products, as well as in Traveller Plus and Traveller Class. The introduction of the -300ER also coincided with the airline's introduction of in-flight WiFi in 2010, being one of the first airlines in the region to offer such a service. The entry of the 777-300ER into the fleet shows the airline's firm commitment to having a modern, fuel efficient fleet, as well as keeping passenger comfort and safety as priorities.
