On 12 January 1990, Air Metro became a fully owned subsidiary of CAF with the latter increasing its ownership of the company to 100%. After the acquisition, the airline renamed itself as Air Metro Europe to reflect its expansion beyond metropolitan France and changed its livery to match that of its parent. Its monopoly on French domestic routes would remain until 1 January 1995, when deregulation in the French aviation market allowed for any EU-based carrier to freely compete on the airline's routes without restrictions on capacity, frequency, or fares. Air Metro became fully integrated into CAF on 1 April 1997, and from this day all flights would operate as part of CAF's mainline network.

I gotta say I do love that Airmetro logo and it looks good both on the pre and post merger liveries something about this gives me lowkey Air Transat vibes which is not at all a bad thing but I'll wait for that A330 to do some fuel starvation over any ocean of your choice

UPDATE: Air Metro Europe titles realigned on A300, A321, and A330

    This is great!
