Deutscheadler | Cover (Logo 1999-2006)

As 1999 approached, Olix Airways Germany stood as the second largest carrier in Germany. The German subsidiary stood the largest member within the Olix Group. After several failures to expand the Olix brand into Asia, the brand was cash-strapped due to multiple subsidiaries filing for bankruptcy. As 1999 began, it was clear to Olix Airways Germany executives that the airline would likely serve as a new banking source for the main brand. Karl Haus, the current CEO at the time called for a withdrawal from the main brand shortly following.

In March of 1999, Olix Airways Germany finally concluded negotiations to leave the brand for a sum of just under 278 million euros. On July 8th of 1999, Olix Airways Germany filled the newspapers around Germany with large headlines of their new name "Deutscheadler" flashing a circular colored logo featuring the German flag. The next day, a freshly painted MD-90-50 (D-ACVS) left the hangar in Stuttgart, Germany showcasing Deutscheadler's new livery. Operating as DH193, D-ACVS left Stuttgart for Ankara with the cabin full of journalists and airline executives.
