American Overseas Airways | Boeing 747-100BA

After the Boeing 747-200B was delivered with General Electric engines, late 1976, the airline decided to re-engine the Boeing 747-100, replacing the Pratt & Whitney JT9D-7 engine. The airline also wanted to increase the 747-100's fuel capacity, which increased the MTOW by a few tons for more range. It took a while for it to get certified, but it eventually happened in 1977, with the airline receiving its first re-engined 747-100 in 1978, changing the type to 747-100BA.

classic 747 are the best, just as nice as this brand ^_^

Angle of Attack lures in the background, jokes asside this is noice

    Nice work :D

not sure this livery would last until 2000, most airlines would've refreshed by then if this was introduced in 1975

    great design tho

It lasted till 2000, as in, in 2000 it finally went away before the new one was fully introduced. Let's just say this airline was late to the party, like Northwest was. And there are a lot of airlines that kept their old designs, but slightly adjusted them over the years, Philippine and Pan Am are an example of that.

    Nice

    I like this :D
