ANC 1950 Douglas DC 4

The Douglas DC-4 operated for V.A.C.E proudly during the late 1940s through the 1950s. This propliner saw the airline's transition from an all Lockheed fleet to an all Douglass fleet for a few years before adopting the Super constellation. This livery debuted on the DC-4 when it was introduced to the V.A.C.E fleet on June 11 1950. With the new addition, the airline became faster and able to reach farther, far more comfortably than in the cramped Vegas and Electras. V.A.C.E would expand their reach into North America, establishing a cornerstone market that is still a large focus of ANC today.

One of the best DC-4 liveries I think I've ever seen.
