SurAvia Embraer E120 Poster

SurAvia was founded on January 1st 1971 and flew an all regional fleet. The airline was founded on the principle of avoiding competition from the large legacy carriers, and operated successfully using this doctrine. SurAvia operated so successfully ANC struggled to outperform SurAvia on competing routes. This competition was so fierce, and ANC was so invested in establishing a regional network that ANC was prepared to offer whatever it would take to acquire the airline. An agreement was reached on October 5, 1987 to incorporate the two airlines, with SurAvia operating under the ARC brand.
