Vostokavia - Boeing 777-200ER

Vostokavia - Boeing 777-200ER

In 2018, Vostokavia predicted a surge in demand for its busy Far Eastern flagship routes. Knowing that its 767s alone could not handle the demand, the airline leased a pair of Boeing 777s, one ex-VIM Avia -200ER and one ex-Singapore Airlines -200. While the Singapore Airlines example - VP-BFU - was painted into an all-white livery, the VIM Avia example was put into operation on the busy Vladivostok-Moscow/DME route wearing a curious hybrid livery, carrying Vostokavia titles and half of the Vostokavia tail design, while retaining major elements of VIM Avia's basic livery.

Excellent! I love this. Super realistic backstory and execution.

Also holy s***, VIM really is a case study on how to very very quickly run an airline into the ground, isn't it? Absolutely insane how quickly and how much they grew after Transaero's collapse and then it literally all ended overnight...

    Thanks!
And yeah, the collapse was crazy - I didn't even realize they went bust before I researched for this.

makka has returned, now go give me more feedback on my designs in Discord dms smh

This has certainly been an ex-Soviet brand worth emulating for me. Awesome lore and presentation...
