The 727s played a key role in bringing PWA into the jet age, operating key short haul services from Seattle and then Portland in 1967. These new state of the art trijets revolutionized PWAs operational performances and subsequently replaced all the piston powered aircraft the airline operated in the rest of the 60s and early 70s. These new planes introduced a new 'Jetline' livery that was initially painted on baremetal but with the introduction of the first 747 in 1970 the 727s delivered after were painted with white tops and left the belly bare to compliment the 747s. The airline ordered 14 727-100s and 26 727-200s in 1966 the airline ordered a further 21 727-100s and the order for 727-200s were increased to 40 in 1971. Alongside the 727s the airline operated the DC-8 Series and 707-120/320 Jetliners. In the late 80s the airline commenced the long withdrawal process for the entire 727 fleet and these were to be replaced by the MD-80 and 737 Classic, the final 727 left the fleet in 2001 and was donated to a aviation school for static training exercises.

The fleet of 727s never had a good start to begin with at PWA, the airline lost 8 727s within their first 10 years of operations 6 of which crashed due to pilot error and 2 were mechanical related problems.

I'm still not to sure about the logo, I may change it at a later date but currently I don't know what would be better to use as the logo.

The fuselage is great but I do agree with you that the logo might need something else ... maybe just one of the bird you have now and without the circle or legs so it sort of looks like a stylized wing? just a thought but great job everywhere else with these

    Needs more flap issues

    Needs more flap issues

Asymmetric flap config in cruise due to incorrect procedures and pulling a CB at the wrong time?

    Nice

Hmm probably but then again I still won't like it, US carriers are kinda hard for me to make without blatantly ripping off an existing design or being super generic. I guess its kinda a learn as I go for this but I'll keep in mind for next set of liveries I do for PWA.
