Italiaggio ATR 42 1972-1988

In 1986, Italiaggio became the second customer of Aérospatiale and Aeritalia's joint venture ATR. The initial purchase of 5 air frames was subsidized by the Italian government to support the Italian aviation sector, but the airline would later order more of the type and a few of the larger 72. The ATR 42 was Italiaggio's smallest aircraft at the time and operated mainly on short flights between Italian villages.
