PNA Airbus A3XX

It's 2000.
Bush beats Gore, the world survives Y2K and the dot com bubble bursts.

Airbus formally launches it's ambitious A3XX program and on the 28th of April 2000, PNA becomes the launch customer with an order for 4 of the Airbus A3xx superjumbos.

Flash forward to 2001. PNA is expected to firm up their order for the A3xx, now officialy the A380, on the 29th of September. However the unexpected, unwarranted and unprovoked terrorist attrocities committed on September the 11th put this at risk.

After delaying for months and months and owing to the severe downturn in travel post 9/11, PNA cancelled it's order for the A380 and thus ended the story of the American superjumbo that never was.
