didn't bother putting lore cos its not one of my 'big' airlines but it was founded as Compagnie Aérienne d'Indochine Française in the late 50s later being simplified to Indochina Airways in the '80s and then stylised as Indochina with the 2014 livery. quite a few old restaurants/companies in phnom penh have indochina/indochine in their name, i guess it's not really well known outside this part of the world.

I am very familiar with the history/name of Indochina. I just don't agree that a major national carrier would carry over a primarily colonial-era term into modern times.

Old/small restaurants/local companies maybe, as a novelty. But as the term fell out of use in post-colonial times it would not make sense to keep it for a big, modern national project.
