Himmelbahn & Berlinbahn 731 1968-1982

Himmelbahn & Berlinbahn 731 1968-1982

I need some older liveries for Himmelbahn and I need a livery for the Tegel '69 competition. Why not take out two birds with one stone?
These two little fellas are 737-100s in service with Himmelbahn and Himmelbahn's French registered subsidiary Berlinbahn (more on that later). They wear versions of Himmelbahn's new for 1968 livery. Airframe D-HBNY wears the basic Himmelbahn livery and would be used on routes like MUC-HAM. Airframe F-HBFA wear the modified livery for Berlinbahn. Berlinbahn was Himmelbahn's way into West Berlin's airports as it was technically a French company and considerable political wrangling made it exempt from East Germany's prohibition on West German aircraft. The routes Berlinbahn was able to service shifted about depending on the political relationship between the DDR and BRD along with the general tensions of the cold war. At some points, Berlinbahn was able to fly direct from Himmelbahn's hub in Munich to Berlin, but at other times they were only allowed to fly from France or nearby neutral Switzerland.
Tell me what y'all think. I'm pretty proud of this livery and it's been reworked a few times, but I'm not totally convinced it's great yet so I'd love to hear how y'all think it could be improved. Thanks in advance!

[Edit: The nose is painted grey now]

nice might want to remove the metal effect in the nose cone though

Agreed, but I still love this so much! The 731s look great with this livery!

I ended up conflicted with the nose. I didn't want a big chunky full black nosecone because I thought that looked too oldschool for what I was aiming at. I also wasn't feeling having the metal belly curve down before the nose. I saw a Britannia 731 with a small black nosecone like this and I thought it looked pretty nice and solved my quandry, but if y'all have a better solution then fire away

The nose actually looks quite, but maybe replace the metal part on the nosecone with gray paint? That might look more realistic.

Apart from that, I really like this livery, and French-registered Berlinbahn is a great idea!

Thanks. The grey does look more realistic and it's sort of a fun quirky touch!
