This image shows the 2007 livery applied to N631GA, one of Global Airlines' 777-200ERs (in fact the first one to be delivered, back in 1997). It's interior, like on all other 777s in the fleet, was totally updated. Economy Class remained in a 3-3-3 configuration, but the seats became significantly more modern, with AVOD entertainment touch-screens - these replaced the old looping-movie systems previously installed on the 777s, which itself was a derivative of the original in-seat IFE installed on the carrier's MD-11s and 747-400s in the early 90s. GlobalBusiness became a seven-abreast, fully-flat product, which replaced the angle-flat seats previously used on Global Airlines 777s. These were a slightly wider version of the seat found on the 767-300s, and were (like on the 767s) fitted with IFE touchscreens which folded out of the armrests.

Finally, First Class was the most improved of the three classes - gone were 1997's first-generation reverse-herringbone seats, with their restricted sleeping space and lack of privacy. The new GlobalFirst was the most private First Class product in North America at the time, offering almost fully enclosed suites ('almost' because they lacked doors), which was on par with Air Canadien's world-renowned First product, except that Global Airlines' new suites were significantly more spacious. The 24" wide seats faced forwards for takeoff and landing, but swiveled slightly away from the aisle in flight. Both the seat and the large table could be moved backwards and forwards to allow the passenger to exit the suite with the table extended, or to adjust seating positions in order to allow the expansive footrest at the front of each suite to be used as a buddy seat, allowing two passengers to dine together. To sleep, the seat would be folded over forwards and join up with the footrest, at which point a mattress could be placed over the top, creating a 31" by 75" bed. The new GlobalFirst hard product won multiple awards in 2007, the year of its introduction.

Like the 767s described in the previous upload, the 777-200ERs were also retrofitted into several different cabin configurations. The most premium-heavy of these was the one shown above, with eight GlobalFirst suites, 67 GlobalBusiness seats, and 204 seats in Economy, for a total capacity of 279. There was a second, less premium-heavy version with only four GlobalFirst suites, 46 in GlobalBusiness, and 258 in Economy, seating 308 in total. Finally, the most premium-light configuration - used often on domestic, Hawaiian, and North African routes, as well as the few multi-stop routes that Global Airlines flew to the Middle East was set up with no First Class, featuring 35 seats in GlobalBusiness and 292 in Economy, fitting 327 passengers in total.

Note: This is, I think, the most detailed and complicated seatmap I've made yet...747-400 is next probably.

Love the seat map! Very neat and, the livery is not to bad it's nice and simple but all in all. Great work.

Noice! How do you make a seat map?

    Cool!

and how do you make those seat maps?

RIP N631GA, Covid must have taken a toll on it.

But really nice livery and seatmap! Though, to be fair, I always check your albums for the stories within, as I can never find any others.

Thank you! I've explained how I make those several times in comments on other uploads, but it's all done by hand in photoshop based on fuselage templates I've made for all aircraft types and custom seats that I then place into those templates as needed...

Thank you! And yeah, unfortunately because of the coronavirus Jade Air (the next operator after Global Airlines) returned this aircraft to GAFCo and it is now stored at Victorville.
