Zhujiang Airlines took delivery of their first Boeing 737 MAX 8 in September of 2017. The aircraft entered service into their hub in Guangzhou at first operating domestic flights before commencing international service around the Asia Pacific region. As the fleet of MAX's was to be leased out from ICBC, a sticker of the banks logo was applied to one of the 737 MAX's. As of 2020, all of Zhujiang Airlines 737 MAX fleet is grounded which consists of 18 aircraft. A further 14 have been constructed and are awaiting the lifting of the grounding to be delivered.
