Kalevala
In 2017, OH-VFI received a whooper swan livery to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Finland's independence, featuring a swan's beak painted on the nose and an intricate metallic-silver pattern of feathers extending down the fuselage. The aircraft was rechristened Kalevala after arguably the most significant piece of Finnish folklore and mythological literature; the Kalevala was instrumental in the development of the Finnish national identity and the intensification of Finland's language strife, which ultimately led to Finland's independence from Russia in 1917.
