Sunwings | Boeing 757-200 | 1996-

Sunwings is a Russian leisure carrier founded in 1996. The airline operates flights with Boeing 737, 757, 767 and 777 aircraft to mainly holiday destinations around the world. Seen here is a Boeing 757 in their current scheme.

choosing the 757 over the 204 makes perfect sense for a modern russian airline

oh, i wasn't aware of this. my sincere apologies

    Look v gud

i guess this is supposed to be one of those sterotypical sketchy liveries, but i'mma still say that the titles are really hard to decipher, especially on the tail. they probably could work for some short lived floridian airline 20 years ago, but defo not for some russian airline

Now tell me why Red Wings (and some of these other names above) do work and Sunwings doesn't. Also, looking at your work, tell me how your 'British International' livery works for a UK flag carrier....

Yeah I could give you a properly explained answer to that, but clearly you're not interested in that are you. I've lived in Russia for two decades, flown hundreds if not thousands of flights on Russian carriers some of which you've never even heard of, watched closely the rise (and sometimes fall) of the entirety of the Russian aviation industry and especially the brand development and evolution of many of these airlines. So yeah I'd say I have a pretty ****ing good understanding of what works on a Russian brand and what doesn't, and while to someone who has no idea what they're ****ing talking about and no clue how names work in Russia, stuff like 'Nordwind' and 'Red Wings' seems the same as 'Sunwings', I can tell you it's definitely not. That's exactly why people who are actually interested in making a realistic Russian brand often listen to my input, especially regarding coming up with names that work - if you're not, then sure, enjoy Sunwings as a 'Russian' name.

And British International was explicitly not a flag carrier, but ok?

    My point exactly.

As I said, if you want brands that don't make sense, that's up to you

i'd much rather brands that don't make sense but look nice as opposed to some basic ****ing A350 with some random colours slapped on pretending to be some random airline
