- Album South African Airlines
South African acquired it's first 747-300 in 1984, and used it on routes to Europe and briefly to North America. South African was banned from the USA in 1986, and turned it's 747 fleet to Southeast Asia.
This -300 is shown in the 1994 livery; the carrier dropped the Afrikaans titles and simplified the Springbok logo on the tail. This livery, and the 747-300, would last until 2006 when the current modern livery was adopted.

Never thought green and yellow could go so well together! Love it.

Thanks! It’s hard to make an African airline without black; I feel like green is a good combo.
