Virgin Blue/Virgin Australia Airbus A330-243 VH-XFA

In 2011, Virgin Blue announced sweeping changes to the company, including the implementation of full, two cabin, service, widebodied aircraft and the integration of the V Australia fleet into mainline operations.
These changes were announced prior to the rebranding of the beloved Virgin Blue to the carrier we all knew and hated; Virgin Australia.

Pictured here is the first widebodied aircraft ever delivered to Virgin Blue; VH-XFA

VH-XFA was a 2000 build Airbus A330-243 originally ordered for Emirates, serving with the carrier till 2011, when it was leased to Virgin Blue.
After arriving in Australia as DJ9082, the aircraft was immeidately registered to a Virgin Blue shell company, VB A330 Leasing Pty Ltd, based in the Cayman Islands.
For a few months, XFA operated training flight in this eurowhite scheeme for Virgin Blue whilst the aircraft branding was being finalized, before being flown to Kuala Lumpur for repainting into the corporate Virgin Australia image.

Named Cottesloe Beach, the aircraft served with Virgin Australia for 3 years. In August of 2014, XFA departed Australia as Velocity 9943 bound for Singapore-Changi for end of lease maintance and repainting.

XFA is now active in the fleet of Azul Linhas Aereas Brazil as Don't Worry Be Azul

    very nice dear thank you

    very nice dear thank you

thank u i spent years on this

Do you guys not realize this is a recreation of a real livery?

This kind of thing - recreations of the simplest liveries - requires a lot of attention to detail to make it look right, so I've got a few comments. The registration font isn't quite right (maybe try playing around with the 'uk number plate' font or whatever it's called, that one tends to work quite well for this kind of reg. Also, the 'XFA' font isn't the right one - there's a specific one that Airbus uses. Finally, and I'm not 100% sure about this one, but I think the Australian flag at the front of the fuselage is a tad too large.

One thing that baffles me is how you're able to beautifully construct these impossibly-accurate works of art with precision beyond the reach of human eyes, yet still can't center the background

Incredible work otherwise, easily one of the replicas on the site!

    It's a quirk

    Wrong tail you tit.
