Boeing 707-420

Boeing 707-420

Canadian National's eight Boeing 707-420s were bought off BOAC in 1964, when CNA couldn't receive their 707-320s in a timely manner. The noisier, more ineffecient Conway turbofans were only a slight concern in a sparsely populated country, and the -420 was one of two airframes, along with 4 Super VC10s, bought from BOAC to fill cross-country and trans-Atlantic demand.

This aircraft is seen in the original livery, which was used until the mid 1970s. These 707s were in service until 1983, when they were replaced by a combination of L1011 and 767 aircraft.

Yeah it's another maple leaf logo, but you know what? I quite like this actually. One thing I'd change is remove the shadow on the tail logo (seems a bit too modern for the time) and either leave it like that or replace it with a white outline like on the little leaf in front of the L1 door.

Good idea, I wasn’t sure about the tail!

    Thanks!

Very classic looking. Also unusual but pretty color choices.
